Last weekend BMW took the wraps off the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i First Edition at Pebble Beach, which BMW reminded us is the latest chapter in the line of BMW roadsters, which started 30 years ago with the BMW Z1. BMW even brought the 2019 Z4’s predecessors to Pebble Beach.
We’ll have to wait until next month to get all the details about the 2019 BMW Z4 next month, but BMW has already revealed that the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i First Edition will be powered by a 3.0 liter inline 6-cylinder engine that will get the Z4 to 60 mph in under 4.4 seconds. The Z4 M40i also gets an M tuned sports suspension with electronically controlled dampers, M Sport braking system and an electronically controlled M Sport rear differential.
The 2019 BMW Z4 will arrive in the spring with the debut of the 2019 BMW Z4 30i, which will be followed by the Z4 M40i and Z4 M40i First Edition versions in the second quarter of 2019.
We’ll get all the details on September 18 when the 2019 BMW Z4 officially debuts.
