Just a few days ago BMW announced that it has started producing pre-production versions of the large 2019 X7 SUV. Shortly after the announcement someone was able to get their hands on a VIN for one of the pre-production BMW X7 SUVs and thanks to a VIN decoder, we now know some of the specs.
The X7 that the VIN belonged to was an Alpine White 2019 X7 xDrive50i with the biturbo 4.4L V8. According to the spec sheets, the 4.4L V8 generates 340 kilowatts, which translates to 456 horsepower. That power will be routed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system.
The specs sheet also lists an M Sport differential, large 22-inch alloy wheels, plus a five-zone automatic climate control system. As the new flagship SUV, the X7 will be packed with luxury features, like massaging seats for the driver and front passenger, soft close automatic doors and night vision.
The 2019 BMW X7 will not officially arrive until the end of 2018.
