Acura has announced the pricing for the third-generation 2019 Acura RDX, which goes on sale on June 1. The 2019 RDX is priced at $38,295, including the destination fees. That’s $1,300 more than the base price for the outgoing 2018 RDX, but the 2019 RDX now comes standard with the AcuraWatch safety suite and has the exact same starting price as the old model with the safety tech.

The 2019 Acura RDX will come standard with JewelEye LED headlights, the new True Touchpad interface with its 10.2-inch center mounted screen and AcuraWatch. All 2019 RDX models are now powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The four-cylinder generates 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Front-wheel drive is standard on the 2019 RDX, but if you want something with more capability and a sportier drive you can add the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system that can send up to 70 percent of the torque to the rear wheels and up up to 100 percent of that torque can be distributed to either the right-rear or left-rear wheel. There are also four driving modes: Snow, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+.

The front-wheel drive 2019 RDX is rated at 22/28 mpg, while the all-wheel drive version is slightly less fuel efficient at 21/27 mpg.

In addition to the new 10.2-inch infotainment system that offers Apple CarPlay connectivity, the 2019 RDX is also available with a new 710-watt Acura ELS Studio 3D premium audio system. A 10.5-inch head-up display is available and 4G LTE Wi-Fi is also now part of the AcuraLink system.

You might have noticed that Android Auto is missing from the list of tech features and that’s because it doesn’t yet work with its new touchpad infotainment system. Google is currently working on a fix and when it’s available Acura says that it will provide an over the air update to add Android Auto.
