The 2018 Nissan Pathfinder is arriving at dealers this week and Nissan has announced that it starts at $31,765. The Pathfinder received a refresh last year, so for 2018 it’s getting a few new features, an enhanced Midnight Edition appearance package and the new Rear Door Alert system.

The 2018 Nissan Pathfinder gets two new color options – Scarlet Ember and Midnight Pine. The Pathfinder SL comes standard with Intelligent Cruise Control and NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Services. Automatic Emergency Braking is now standard on the 2018 Pathfinder.

The Pathfinder Midnight Edition, which was originally only for the Platinum trim, has now moved to the more popular SL model. It adds black 20-inch Midnight Edition aluminum-alloy wheels, black mirror caps, black spoiler, black roof rails, black grille surround, black front and rear fascia accents, black license plate finisher, black badging, black splash guards, illuminated kick plates. The Midnight Edition is offered in Pearl White, Gun Metallic or Magnetic Black.

The Rear Door Alert system reminds drivers of anything that may be forgotten in the rear seat – pets, valuables, dry cleaning, groceries and more. If the system detects that a rear door is opened prior to driving, and the driver does not open a rear door again at the end of the trip, the system can remind customers that something might be left in the rear seat.
