Honda has announced the pricing for the 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, which goes on sale on December 1. The 2018 Clarity Plug-in Hybrid will be offered in two versions, with the base model starting at $34,290 and the top Touring trim level priced at $37,490.

The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid is available for the full federal tax credit of $7,500, unless House Republicans do away with the incentive. Plus there are additional state tax credits that will lower the final price even more.

The 2018 Clarity Plug-in Hybrid can travel up to 47 miles in fully-electric mode and it’s rated at 110 MPGe. With the 1.5L four-cylinder powered up, it’s rated at 44 mpg city and 40 mpg highway. With a full tank of fuel and the battery fully charged, the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid has a total driving range of 340 miles.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain generates a total 212 horsepower and driver’s can select between three driving modes: Normal, Econ and Sport. An HV Mode is also available to maintain the battery’s state of charge in any of the three driving modes.
