Honda has announced that the 2018 Honda Civic Type R is now available, starting at $34,990 with the destination fees. That price is only $215 more than the 2017 Civic Type R.
There aren’t any changes between the 2017 Civic Type R and 2018 Civic Type R. Although it’s been rumored that Honda will release a cheaper version of the Civic Type R, Honda has made no mention of it. As of right now the 2018 Civic Type R is still only available in one version, which comes fully loaded with a 6-speed manual transmission, limited slip differential, Adaptive Damper System and a dual-axis strut front suspension. It also comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and a Navigation System.
For a refresher, the 2018 Honda Civic Type R is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque.
