Now you don’t have to worry about rushing home to catch your favorite TV show, since Ford has announced that the all-new 2018 Expedition will be able to stream live cable or satellite television.
The new Expedition features streaming technology via SlingPlayer, which can stream live television on the two available video screens. The system represents the first time SlingPlayer – which connects to a user’s home Slingbox account – is offered in an automobile.

“Increasingly, our on-the-go customers are streaming music and television to their personal devices,” said Michael O’Brien, Ford SUV Group Marketing manager. “We’re meeting this demand in our biggest and smallest SUVs.”
If you missed the other updates about the all-new Expedition, it will feature an aluminum body that will help it drop up to 300 pounds compared to the last generation. Even though the V8 is now gone, the 2018 Expedition will be the most powerful version yet thanks to its turbocharged 3.5L V6. The V6 is also mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2018 Expedition will be available this fall.
