Acura has announced the updates to the 2018 Acura MDX, which gets a redesigned dual-screen with more intuitive menus and command structures complemented by a new 7-inch touchscreen. Acura says the new touchscreen also has a 30-percent faster response time than the old non-touchscreen system.
The new center mounted touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The only other change to the 2018 MDX are the addition of two new colors: Basque Red and San Marino Red. Pricing for the 2018 Acura MDX starts at $45,175 with the destination fees included.
The 2018 Acura MDX is powered by a 3.5-liter i-VTEC 24-valve V6 engine rated at 290 peak horsepower and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. Buyers can choose either front-wheel drive or the Super Handling-All Wheel Drive system. The MDX with front-wheel drive and Idle Stop has an EPA fuel economy rating of 20 mpg city/27 highway, while the MDX with Super Handling-All Wheel Drive and Idle Stop is EPA rated at 19 mpg city/26 highway.
