The next-generation Acura ILX is expected to debut for the 2019 model year, so the updates to the 2018 ILX are minimal. The biggest update to the 2018 Acura ILX is a new special edition model that adds a few sportier touches to the ILX’s exterior.
The 2018 Acura ILX Special Edition adds 18-inch wheels, side sills and a rear spoiler from the A-Spec package. Pricing for the ILX Special Edition starts at $29,850, while the standard 2018 ILX starts at $29,050. All 2018 ILX models come standard with LED headlights, a power driver’s seat, rearview camera, power moonroof, Bluetooth, and a 5-inch Multi-View Display.
If you step up to the ILX A-Spec you get side sill garnishes, a decklid spoiler, front fog lights and 18-inch 10-spoke machined alloy wheels. Inside the ILX A-Spec gets an exclusive Premium Black interior color scheme including a black headliner, perforated black Lux Suede seat inserts, red instrument illumination, gray interior stitching and aluminum brake and throttle pedals. The 2018 Acura ILX A-Spec starts at $33,050 with the destination fees.
All ILX models are powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower and 180 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to an 8-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission with paddle shifters. The ILX is rated at 25 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.
