An all-new 2017 Lincoln Navigator is two years away and it will reportedly get a new lighter aluminum body.
The 2015 Lincoln Navigator has received a modest facelift, but if you were hoping for a full redesign, you will reportedly have to wait another two years. It’s being reported that an all-new Navigator is in the works and that it will debut in the second half of 2016 as a 2017 model.
According to Automotive News, the new Navigator is expected to switch to an aluminum body, like the 2015 Ford F-150 pickup. The new F-150 is around 700 pounds lighter thanks to the new aluminum body, so we can expect similar results with the next Navigator.

Don’t expect a V8 to return in the next Navigator, since the 2015 Navigator is now powered solely by a turbocharged 3.5L V6. The next Navigator could be offered with a new hybrid powertrain or possibly even a new twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 that is being rumored.
