Earlier this month Kia released a few teaser sketches of the next-generation Cadenza and now we have our first official look at the new sedan.
Earlier this month Kia released a few teaser sketches of the next-generation Cadenza and now we have our first official look at the new sedan. Even though it’s called the K7 in South Korea, the K7 that you see here is basically identical to the 2017 Cadenza that will arrive in the U.S. sometime next year.

Judging from these two photos of the K7/ Cadenza you can see that Kia wants to move the large sedan even further upmarket with a more luxurious and refined exterior. Kia hasn’t released the specs for the 2017 Cadenza, but it does appear to be a bit larger than the current sedan. We also don’t have any interior photos, but the original teaser sketch did give us a preview of what we can expect. THe new interior will likely be covered in higher quality materials.
Under the hood, the 2017 Cadenza will be powered by a 3.3L V6, which is clear thanks to the 3.3 badge on the trunk. There is also the possibility of a turbocharged four-cylinder being added to the lineup as well.
