Toyota’s iconic SUV – the Land Cruiser, is getting a facelift for the 2016 model year that includes styling updates, a new transmission and more technology. For starters everything from the A-pillar forward is new. The 2016 Land Cruiser’s front bumper, grille, headlights and hood have been redesigned. As you move back you’ll see new alloy wheels, restyled taillights and a redesigned rear bumper.

The Land Cruiser only comes in one version with no factory options, which leaves the only option to be either a black or Terra brown interior. The 2016 Land Cruiser now comes standard with dual 10-inch screens for rear seat passengers and Toyota’s Entune 2.5 multimedia system with Siri Eyes Free Mode is accessed via a new 9-inch display. The center console has been redesigned as well as the steering wheel. The Land Cruiser also comes standard with Qi wireless phone charging.
Under the hood, the 2016 Land Cruiser is powered by a 5.7L V8 with 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft. of torque. The V8 is now mated to Toyota’s first 8-speed automatic transmission.
Lastly the 2016 Land Cruiser now offers more safety tech in the form of Toyota’s Safety Sense-P that includes Frontal Collision Avoidance, Frontal Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Alert, Auto High Beams and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
