According to sources that spoke with Bloomberg, Toyota’s upcoming fuel cell vehicle (FCV) is going to be called the Mirai when it arrives next year.
Toyota originally unveiled the FCV in June, but did not announce what it would be called when it arrives next year. The word Mirai means “future” in Japanese. The Toyota Mirai is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in April 2015 and then will arrive in the U.S. and Europe sometime in the summer of 2015.
