2016 Range Rover Sport HST Limited Edition debuts with 380-hp

Land Rover has revealed the 2016 Range Rover Sport HST Limited Edition, which is going to debut next month at the 2015 New York Auto Show.

Land Rover has revealed the 2016 Range Rover Sport HST Limited Edition, which is going to debut next month at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The HST model is powered by a 3.0L supercharged V6 that delivers an extra 40 horsepower over the SE and HSE models.
The HST model will sit between the 340 horsepower Range Rover Sport and the 550 horsepower supercharged version. The Range Rover Sport HST Limited Edition stands apart from the rest of the lineup with its black themed exterior that features darkened front and rear lamps, gloss black fender vents and fog lamp bezels, a Santorini Black contrast roof and a new spoiler. It also rides on 21-in alloy wheels that are colored in a dark satin grey finish.

Inside the HST model gets Oxford leather seats, HST badges and Noble-plated paddle shifters.

Other updates to the 2016 Range Rover Sport includes the availability of the 3.0L turbocharged V6 diesel engine in the U.S. The 254-hp engine delivers 440 lb-ft of torque and fuel consumption of 22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined. The 2016 Range Rover Sport also gets the Land Rover InControl Remote app, which enables customers to interact with the vehicle using a smartphone and the InControl Remote app is InControl Protect, which will automatically notify emergency services and provide GPS location of the vehicle should it be involved in a collision. Lastly a Hands-Free Gesture Tailgate, now standard, provides hands-free operation of the tailgate by pointing a foot underneath one of two sensors at either rear corner of the vehicle.
