Following the debut of the 2016 Lexus GS F earlier this year, Lexus has now unveiled the updates to the rest of the 2016 GS range. The biggest update is the introduction of the new GS 200t, which is powered by the same 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder as the IS and NX models.

The GS 200t’s 2.0L four-cylinder generates 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. It’s mated to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission and is estimated to get up to 33 mpg on the highway. If you want more power, the GS 350 is still available and now has a bit more power at 311 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque (vs. 306 hp and 277 lb-ft.). Lastly there’s the GS 450h hybrid, which is powered by a 3.5L V6 and electric motor that generates a total 338 horsepower. The GS 450h is rated at 29 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.
In addition to the new 200t model, the while GS lineup gets a new front bumper, rocker panel design and restyled taillights. The 2016 GS also rides on new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the safety front, the 2016 GS is available with the Lexus Safety System + package that combines Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Intelligent High Beam and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
