Jaguar has released all the details for the 2016 XE sedan, which is going to debut tomorrow at the Paris Motor Show.
Last month Jaguar unveiled the XE S model with its 340-hp supercharged 3.0L V6, but now we have the details on the lesser powered models. The XE is available with Jaguar’s new Ingenium family of engines. The 2.0L four-cylinder diesel is available with either 161 or 177 horsepower with the lesser powered version being the most fuel-efficient Jaguar ever, achieving 75 mpg on the European cycle. The 2.0L four-cylinder gas engine also comes in two outputs, 197 horsepower or 237 horsepower. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

The range topping 3.0L V6 engine is borrowed from the F-Type and generates 335 horsepower in the XE. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and gives the XE a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds. It’s top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.

Jaguar XE Portfolio

Jaguar describes the XE as a “driver’s car” and is the only vehicle in its class to use an aluminium-intensive monocoque.
