2016 Jaguar F-Type gets more standard equipment and starts at $65,000

The words “value” and “Jaguar” aren’t two words that you would really ever put together in the same sentence, but Jaguar just did it with the 2016 F-Type.

The words “value” and “Jaguar” aren’t two words that you would really ever put together in the same sentence, but Jaguar just did it with the 2016 F-Type. Jaguar has announced that the 2016 F-Type now has more standard equipment, a longer warranty and complimentary scheduled maintenance package.
Sales of the F-Type increased 84 percent in 2014 and the F-Type is likely to get even more popular with the introduction of all-wheel-drive and manual transmission versions. All-wheel-drive is now standard on the 550-hp R models and is optional on automatic transmission equipped S models. A six-speed ZF manual transmission can be selected on the rear-wheel-drive 340-hp and 380-hp S models.

The F-Type now comes standard with a 770W Meridian Surround Sound System, SiriusXM Satellite Radio & HD Radio, Jaguar Smart Key keyless entry and 14-way fully power-adjustable seats. Coupe models also receive the panoramic glass roof as standard and S models now comes standard with Configurable Dynamic Mode, a flat-bottomed racing-style steering wheel and the driver-selectable Switchable Active Exhaust. R Coupe models receive a power tailgate and all AWD models get an exclusive aero package as standard.

There are also some updates to the 2016 F-Type, which includes a new electric power steering system, an updated instrument cluster with new dials and gauges and an upgraded infotainment system. The 2016 F-Type now features InControl Protect, InControl RemoteTM and InControl Apps connectivity and telematics functions as standard equipment.

Pricing for the 2016 F-Type starts at $65,000 for the F-Type Coupe Manual and $68,100 for the Convertible Manual.
