Coming off the success of the Encore and Enclave crossovers, Buick is now adding another crossover to its lineup – the 2016 Envision. The Envision is a new compact crossover that will slot right in the middle of the two existing crossovers and will compete with other luxury crossovers, like the Acura RDX and Lincoln MKC.
On the outside, the Envision’s design takes styling cues from both the Encore and Enclave. “There is tension in the Envision’s design that reflects elegant athleticism, rendering a planted stance that enhances driver confidence,” stated Bryan Nesbitt, global executive director, Buick design. The interior features a “floating,” wraparound instrument panel that sweeps into the door panels, for a flowing, organic and inviting appearance that complements the exterior.

Under the hood, the Envision is powered by a standard 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive system is the first application of Buick’s new active Twin Clutch AWD system.
The 2016 Envision is going to go on sale in the second quarter of 2016.
