The 2015 WRX STI will debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Over the last week the news about the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX has been all over the internet. Subaru confirmed that the 2015 WRX is going to debut next week at the LA Auto Show, but what about the more potent WRX STI? It’s being reported that the 2015 WRX STI will debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
According to Australia’s Motoring, the 2015 WRX STI will be powered by a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 290 lb-ft. of torque. Compared to the WRX, the WRX STI will get a more aggressive body with a larger rear spoiler.
The 2015 WRX is going to be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder with 265 horsepower, which is enough for a 0-60 mph time in a quick 5.4 seconds. The WRX is also going to be offered with a CVT transmission, but luckily a six-speed manual will still be offered.
Stay tuned for all the details from the show next week.
