Lexus is currently working on a new compact crossover, which according to the latest patent filings, it will be called the Lexus NX 200t. the Lexus NX 200t will offer the brand’s first 2.0L turbocharged engine when it goes on sale at the end of 2014 or early 2015. Lexus is also going to offer a hybrid version of the new crossover, dubbed the NX 300h.
It’s being reported that the new turbocharged 2.0L will not only see duty under the hood of the NX 200t. It will likely also eventually be offered as the entry level engine in the Lexus IS sedan in addition to being offered in the Toyota RAV4.
