2015 Ford Mustang Fuel Economy Specs Released, V6 and V8 Models Are Thirstier

The official fuel economy specs have been released for the 2015 Ford Mustang, which now confirms that it is less fuel efficient than the outgoing model.

The official fuel economy specs have been released for the 2015 Ford Mustang, which now confirms that it is less fuel efficient than the outgoing model. The V6 and V8 trims are now thirstier, but does that matter?
The V8-powered Mustang GT is now rated at 15/25 mpg with the six-speed manual and the automatic equipped model is rated at 16/25 mpg. The manual loses one mpg on the highway compared to the outgoing Mustang, but automatic GT is 2 mpg worse in the city.

For the V6 Mustang it’s now rated at 17/28 with the manual and 19/28 with the automatic. The automatic V6 loses three mpg on the highway, while the manual loses two mpg in the city.

The most fuel efficient Mustang is now the four-cylinder EcoBoost, which is rated at 22/31 with the manual and 21/32 with the automatic transmission.
