Ford is reportedly working on a 2015 Focus RS, which will be powered by the same 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder as the new Mustang with up to 330 horsepower.
Yesterday Ford took the wraps off the updated 2015 Focus lineup, which includes the addition of a new 1.0L three-cylinder engine and an updated face. While the 1.0L engine is not going to set any hearts on fire, reports about a hotter Focus RS should.
It’s being reported that Ford is working on a new Focus RS that will be powered by the same 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder that is going to be offered in the 2015 Mustang. Currently the Focus ST is the top model with its 252-hp 2.0L EcoBoost engine, but the Focus RS could pack anywhere from 300-330 horsepower.
We won’t see it debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, so it may be a few months until we see the 2015 Focus RS. It will reportedly only be available as a five-door hatchback with front-wheel-drive.
