After selling 250,000 X6s since it was introduced, the all-new X6 is getting an evolutionary redesign, which also introduces the first rear-wheel-drive X6. The 2015 X6’s shape doesn’t deviate far from the first generation with many of the same styling cues as the X5. Buyers can choose from two trims – xLine and M Sport, while the X6 comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch wheels are optional).

When the 2015 X6 arrives this later this year it will be offered in three versions: sDrive35i, xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The sDrive35i and xDrive35i models are powered by a turbocharged 3.0L inline six-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. of torque. If you want more power, the xDrive50i is powered by the same turbocharged 4.4L V8 as the old X6, but now has more power at 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and of course the new X6 should be a little more fuel efficient than before.
