2014 VW Touareg X: Volkswagen Celebrates Ten Years of the Touareg

Volkswagen is going to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Touareg with the 2014 Touareg X special edition.

It’s now been officially ten years since Volkswagen released its first SUV, the Touareg. Since then, 700,000 have been sold around the world, with 121,385 of them finding homes in the U.S. Volkswagen is going to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Touareg with the 2014 Touareg X special edition.
Based on the TDI Clean Diesel Lux trim model, the Touareg X special edition gets unique features like 19-inch “Moab” aluminum-alloy wheels, Moonlight Blue Pearl paint and LED taillights. Inside it adds Vienna leather seats in Black Anthracite and unique Engineered Ebony Wood accents on the dashboard and doors that complement the piano black center console.

The Touareg X is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged V-6 TDI Clean Diesel engine with 240 horsepower and 406 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and achieves has a 29 mpg on the highway rating.

Volkswagen is only going to build 1,000 Touareg X models with pricing starting at $56,170.
