Toyota is set to unveil the all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla at a private event in Los Angeles and of course we will be there for all the live details. But in the meantime a leaked order guide for the new Corolla and a few notes from someone who has seen the car, provide a few early details of what we can expect.
The 2014 Corolla was previewed by the Corolla Furia concept at the Detroit Auto Show and if the person at the Toyota dealership in Kansas, who claims to have seen the new Corolla is correct, then it will look like a cross between the Furia concept and the larger Camry. We’ve already seen two leaked photos of the new Corolla that you see here.

The leaked order guide also confirms that not much will change under the hood. The 2014 Corolla will continue to be powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder engine with Toyota’s Valvematic continuously variable valve timing and lift system. The 1.8L engine should put out a bit more power and fuel economy stats are likely to improve. In a weird move, base models will get an archaic four-speed automatic, while other trims will get a CVT and the available manual transmission will feature six gears.

Lastly the 2014 Corolla will be offered in base, LE, S, and Eco trims. It will also get options like Softex leather, a push-button start system and navigation.
