The all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage made its North American debut today at the Salon International de l’auto de Montreal. Although the Mirage unveiled at the show is identical to the version sold in other markets, Mitsubishi the subcompact was unveiled without a name in Canada. It’s not known if the Mirage name will be attached to the small Mitsubishi when it hits our shores this fall.
The “Mirage” is wider than Chevy Spark, taller than Hyundai Accent and longer than Scion iQ. The small Mitsubishi is powered by a 74-hp 1.2L three-cylinder engine with 74 lb-ft. of torque that is mated to a five-speed manual or CVT transmission. Even though the North American version of the Mirage looks almost identical to the version sold in Japan, our version will be three inches longer.
