The reviews of the new Acura RLX have been pretty lackluster, but hopefully the more powerful 2014 RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD will bring some excitement to Acura’s flagship sedan. Acura has announced that the RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD is going to be on display at the LA Auto Show later this month before it joins the lineup in 2014.
The Acura RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission and three electric motors. The RLX Sport Hybrid SH-AWD has total system power of 377 horsepower and an anticipated EPA fuel economy rating of 30 mpg combined. The V6 engine sends its power to the front wheels, while the electric motors power the rear wheels.
