Nissan’s supercar the GT-R already packs 530 horsepower and reaches 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds, but Nissan isn’t stopping there. Now comes word that the 2013 GT-R is going to get some upgrades that will add another 40 horsepower under the hood, for a total around 570 horsepower.

Nissan recently held a press event in Europe for the 2013 GT-R, in which some of the upgrades were discussed. The 2013 GT-R will get more power thanks to increased boost and revisions to the intake and exhaust systems. The transmission and suspension settings have also been tweaked and the underside of the GT-R has been modified to improve the cars aerodynamics.

There is also a report that Nissan is readying a new “Track Edition” that will only be right hand drive and available in markets outside the U.S. Lastly the 2013 GT-R will not get any styling updates to differentiate from the 2012 model.
