Honda has just released the first photos of the all-new 2013 Honda Accord sedan and coupe. According to Honda the new Accord is the “most sculpted Accord ever” and is more spacious than before.

The all-new Accord’s styling is more expressive than the outgoing generation. From the front the face is an evolution of the last Accord, but a new grille gives the Accord a more powerful look. A new side character line that flows through the door handles and flares upward toward the rear of the Accord also gives it a sense of motion. The 2013 Accord also gets LED daytime running lights, headlights and taillights.

If you thought the last Accord was too big, you will be happy to know that Honda has shortened the overall lengths of both the sedan and coupe. But Honda says that both the passenger and cargo space has been increased on the all-new ninth-generation Accord.

“This car is the most sculpted and the most dynamic Accord yet,” said Vicki Poponi, assistant vice president of product planning for American Honda. “Following Honda’s long-held philosophy of ‘man maximum, machine minimum,’ the beautiful exterior evolved from a focus on interior space and the needs of the people inside it.”
