VW Passat fans and anyone that may be interested in the all-new 2012 VW Passat can now build the new sedan on VW’s website. The 2012 VW Passat has a lower starting price than the last-generation, at $19,995. For just under $20k you get the Passat 2.5L that is powered by a 2.5L five-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower. The base Passat comes standard with Bluetooth and automatic climate control.
Buyers that are interested in the diesel Passat can get one for $25,995. It’s powered by the 2.0L turbodiesel that gets 31 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway. It comes standard with 17-inch wheels and Volkswagen’s touchscreen Premium VIII radio.
The top of the line Passat V6 starts at $28,995 and is powered by a 280-hp 3.6L V6 mated to a six-speed DSG automatic. If you want a navigation system it will set you back another $1,600. The V6 SEL package adds $3,995 to the base price of the Passat V6 and comes with navigation, push button start and leather seats.
