Toyota has officially unveiled the revised 2012 Toyota Tacoma. The 2012 Tacoma gets a revised exterior, which mainly focuses on a new front fascia. The interior also gets some updates, but the four-cylinder and V6 engines carry over.

The exterior of the Tacoma is new from the A pillar forward. A new more angular grille is mated to new headlamps, a new hood and a revised bumper. The interior of the 2012 Tacoma gets a redesigned instrument gauge panel and a revised center console. The SR5 model also gets a new seat fabric design.

The 2012 Tacoma is available with the same engines as before. The 2.7L four-cylinder puts out 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft. of torque, while the 4.0L V6 generates 236 horsepower and 266 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder can be mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 can be mated to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic.

Toyota has also announced the T|X and T|X Pro packages that are available in conjunction with the TRD Off-Road Package. The T|X package adds TRD 16-inch black alloy wheels, black side steps, a stainless steel exhaust tip and unique exterior graphics. The T|X Pro package adds a TRD cat-back performance exhaust system to give the V6 a throatier sound and a little more power.
