Subaru has officially unveiled the 2012 Subaru XV crossover in Frankfurt. The Subaru XV is basically a more offroad ready version of the new 2012 Impreza.
To allow to tackle the unpaved roads, the XV has more ground clearance than the standard Impreza at 8.6 inches. The XV also gets extra body cladding, which makes it look tougher. In Europe the XV will be powered by 1.6L and 2.0L boxer engines in addition to a diesel.
The XV is expected to come to the U.S. next year.
