2012 Range Rover Sport Gets 8-Speed and Upgraded Diesel

Land Rover has given the Euro-spec 2012 Range Rover Sport a few upgrades in the form of a more powerful 3.0L V6 turbodiesel and a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.

The 3.0L V6 turbodiesel gets horsepower bump from 241-hp to 252-hp and is now more fuel efficient thanks to the new 8-speed gearbox.

The 5.0L Supercharged Range Rover Sport remains unchanged. The Autobiography Sport and Limited Edition versions get revised interiors and a new power tailgate has also been added.

With greater levels of diesel engine efficiency, lower fuel emissions and exciting new features, the Range Rover Sport continues to live up to its reputation for power and refinement,” said John Edwards, Land Rover Global Brand Director.
