Jaguar has been in financial trouble for years. The new XF that will come out sometime in early 2008 is the brand’s last hope. The car is going to replace the slow selling S-Type in the lineup. Jaguar released a concept version of its S-Type replacement in Detroit, the C-XF.
The production version will be built on a modified S-Type platform, which means that the new car will use some of the old suspension parts, engine and the same six-speed transmission.
Let’s hope this will finally save the brand from extinction!
