2008 Mazda 6 Spy Photos…Does it Look Better than the New Accord?

Brenda Priddy & Co. have managed to snap several shots of the upcoming Mazda flagship sedan. We’ve seen several photos of the car, but this is the first time that we can see the full shape. The new 2008 Mazda 6 is bigger than the outgoing version and will also have more power from a new V6.

As you can tell from the photos the new front end will feature much larger headlights as well as a bigger grille. There are also some photos of the interior of the car. The overall styling of the new sedan is much better than the current version and should compete well with the new 2008 Accord as well as the Camry and Altima sedans.

The top motor will be a version of Ford’s new 3.5L V6 and a 4-cylinder will also return with about 180 horsepower. A hybrid is also rumored. Unfortunately the MazdaSpeed6 and Mazda 6 Sport Wagon will not return for the 2008 model year. The MazdaSpeed6 will be missed the most.

Update: The new Mazda 6 will be a 2009 model, contrary to the title of this article.
