General Motors has announced that it will remove the Chevrolet brand from Europe by the end of 2015. The move, which was confirmed by GM Vice Chairman Steve Girsky is to focus GM's European operations on fixing the Opel brand.

Chevrolet has announced that it will reveal the 2015 Corvette Z06 next month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. While we don't know what will be under the hood, Chevrolet does claim that it will be the most track-capable Corvette ever, "designed to deliver supercar levels of performance through unique powertrain, chassis and aerodynamic features."

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition, which is the ultimate gift for a Corvette fan at $77,450. The Corvette Stingray Convertible Premiere Edition comes in a Lime Rock Green exterior with a Brownstone suede interior. It also includes suede-wrapped interior trim, carbon fiber accents, variable tuned performance exhaust system, Z51 Performance Package and Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

It's being reported that a coupe version of the Cadillac ATS is going to debut in just over a month at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. If the reports are true, the 2015 ATS Coupe will also go on sale in the summer with a design that closely mimics the sedan, sans the rear doors.

Chevy has unveiled two new versions of the Chevy Sonic sedan, the 2014 Sonic RS and Sonic Dusk. The Sonic RS sedan joins is powered by the same 138-hp turbo engine as the Sonic RS hatchback, while the Sonic Dusk sedan ups the Sonic's style with a ground effects package and new alloy wheels.

Buick has announced that the updated 2014 Buick Regal now comes standard with a new 2.0L turbocharged four-cyl engine with 259-hp and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The new 2.0L turbo is more powerful than the turbo in the 2013 Regal and is also more fuel-efficient with a 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway rating with the six-speed automatic.

Buick is reportedly going to soon offer a diesel powered model in its lineup, according to a source that spoke with Edmunds. It wasn't revealed which model would be the first to get a diesel engine, but it's expected that it would be the Verano, since GM recently started offering a four-cylinder diesel engine in the Chevy Cruze, the Verano's twin.

GM has unveiled a new version of the 2015 Chevrolet Impala that can run on either gasoline or natural gas. GM is now the only automaker that will produce a full-size bi-fuel sedan, which will go on sale next summer. Last night Cadillac unveiled the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV at an event in New York. The all-new Escalade is the fourth-generation of the big SUV, which shares its platform with the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban and GMC Yukon SUVs. On the outside it's clear to see the relation between the three SUVs, but on the inside the 2014 Escalade gets a more upscale interior than the other two.

Cadillac is going to unveil the all-new 2015 Escalade SUV on October 7 with indie rock photographer and director Autumn de Wilde, who produced a series of portraits and a film highlighting the Escalade design process. Although we have to wait until Oct. 7 to see the new Escalade, Cadillac has released these two teaser photos.
"I immerse myself in the world of my subjects. I suppose it's not unlike a method actor's approach sometimes," said de Wilde. "My job is to give the audience even more of a reason to form a crush on this person or this object."
The Cadillac Escalade will share its platform with the also new Chevy Tahoe/ Suburban and GMC Yukon SUVs that were recently unveiled.

Last month GM unveiled the Cadillac Elmiraj concept, which is expected to hint at a new flagship Cadillac sedan. The Elmiraj concept also featured a new 4.5L twin turbocharged V8 engine with 500 horsepower. Carscoops claims to have received a tip that the same 4.5L V8 will be used by the successor to the Corvette Z06, which may be called the Z07.

GM's 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup just beat the Ram 1500 in the latest Consumer Reports matchup. Consumer Reports' editors scored the Silverado three points higher than the Ram 1500 in its series of tests. This marks the second time in a just a few months that a GM model has received top marks in the Consumer Reports' tests. Consumer Reports recently gave the all-new 2014 Chevy Impala a score of 95 out of 100, making it one of the top sedans it's ever tested.

GM is celebrating the production of the 1 millionth Cadillac at its Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant. A 2014 Cadillac CTS was the 1 millionth Cadillac to roll of the line today. Lansing Grand River, or LGR as it is known, has been a dedicated rear wheel-drive assembly plant since it opened in late 2001. Every CTS ever made has been built there.
