Following Ford's segment changing 2015 F-150, which features aluminum body panels, GM is now reportedly also working on an aluminum-bodied pickup that will be introduced around 2018. In an effort to put its trucks on a serious diet, GM is going to follow Ford's move by using lighter aluminum for the next-generation of the Silverado and Sierra pickups.

Chevy has announced the availability of new bi-fuel versions of the 2015 Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD pickups. Currently CNG is priced at about 62 percent lower than gasoline, so it represents big savings. For example a work truck driven 26,000 miles a year can save more than $2,000 annually based on 75-percent CNG usage and comparable efficiency to gasoline.

Cadillac has announced that it is going to sweeten the deal a tad for the 2014 Cadillac ELR by throwing in a free 240-volt home charging station. The 2014 Cadillac ELR still starts at $75,995 before any tax incentives are applied, but at least now Cadillac will cover the costs for installing a charging station in your home.

The Chevy Camaro Z/28 is set to return to the track this week when the new Camaro Z/28.R race car debuts in a 2.5-hour endurance race ahead of the 52nd Rolex 24 At Daytona. Chevy says that it will be one of the most production-based cars on the track, since it shares its aero, engine and axle parts with the 2014 Camaro Z/28.

Last week GM unveiled the new 2015 GMC Canyon mid-size pickup at the Detroit Auto Show, which is a rebadged version of the Chevy Colorado. There are several reports coming out about the upcoming 2015 Cadillac ATS-V, the high-performance and much hotter version of the compact ATS. It's being reported that the ATS-V is going to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 with 425 horsepower that will get a new seven-speed manual transmission in addition to an eight-speed automatic.

Yesterday Cadillac unveiled the second version of the new ATS, the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe at the Detroit Auto Show. Cadillac's global chief Bob Ferguson revealed at the show that its possible that Cadillac could also introduce convertible and wagon versions of the ATS in the future.

Cadillac has unveiled the 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe in Detroit, which is the automaker's first ever compact coupe. Compared to the CTS Coupe, the ATS Coupe looks much closer to the ATS sedan sans the two rear doors. The 2015 ATS Coupe rides on the same 109.3-inch wheelbase as the sedan, but the roof, doors, rear fenders and trunk lid are unique to the Coupe. It is also the first production model to wear Cadillac's revised crest.

The 2014 Detroit Auto Show has kicked off with the awards for the North American Car and Truck of the Year. This year Chevy has a lot to celebrate as it took home both the Car and Truck of the Year awards for the 2014 Corvette Stingray and Silverado. It is the first time Chevrolet has won both awards in the same year. The Silverado was last named Truck of the Year in 2007 and the Corvette was last named Car of the Year in 1998.

Chevrolet has announced that starting this summer some of its models will be available with high-speed data - made possible by a new OnStar 4G LTE connection, running on AT&T's network. The announcement is being made at the Consumer Electronics Show and the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette, Impala, Malibu, and Volt will be the first General Motors' vehicles to come optionally equipped with OnStar 4G LTE.

It's been revealed that GM is going to unveil the 2015 GMC Canyon midsize pickup at the Detroit Auto Show next month. If you recall GM recently unveiled the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado at the LA Auto Show last month, which should remain pretty close to what the Canyon will look like. The previous Canyon shared most of its parts with the Colorado, with the exception of a some unique styling elements, so the same is expected of the next Canyon.

Chevy has released the pricing for the all-new 2015 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban SUVs, which will see their prices rise between $1,000 to $3,000 when they officially go on sale in the spring. The base price for the 2015 Tahoe is $45,595, while the 2015 Suburban starts at $48,295. Both SUVs start $1,000 higher than the current 2014 models.

He will be replaced by Mary Barra, who is currently the executive vice president, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain. Buick has announced that the updated 2014 Buick Regal now comes standard with a new 2.0L turbocharged four-cyl engine with 259-hp and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The new 2.0L turbo is more powerful than the turbo in the 2013 Regal and is also more fuel-efficient with a 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway rating with the six-speed automatic.
