BMW and Toyota have officially agreed to jointly develop a new sports car, according to BMW's development chief Herbert Diess. Back in June 2012, the two automakers signed a partnership to co-develop a fuel cell system and lightweight technologies. A sports car was a possibility, but now it is a done deal.
Although we're eager to see the 2015 BMW M3 and M4 at the Detroit Auto Show in a few weeks, it's being reported that another new BMW is going to debut just a few months later. The 2015 BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe is going to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Volvo has the announced the kick off the new "Drive Me - Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility" project in Sweden, which will see the deployment of 100 self-driving autonomous vehicles on the public roads in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. The project, which kicks off in 2014 is a joint collaboration between Volvo, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Transport Agency, Lindholmen Science Park and the City of Gothenburg.
