We're less than a week away from the official debut of the all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla, so Toyota is getting us ready by giving us a few more teasers. Toyota has released two new teaser photos that give us a sneak peak at the 2014 Corolla's lower fascia, while the second one shows off its grille.

It's been widely reported that the new 2013 Chevy Malibu has failed to excite the media and more importantly midsize sedan buyers. Following the steps that Honda took with the new Civic, GM has ordered an emergency refresh for the 2014 Chevy Malibu. According to GM, the 2014 Malibu is now roomier, more refined and more efficient execution of its midsize sedan. It also gets updated styling, a revised interior, a new 2.5L standard engine and suspension enhancements.
Acura has announced the pricing for the all-new 2014 MDX, which goes on sale in July and will start at $42,290. For the first time the third-generation MDX will be offered in front and all-wheel-drive versions.
Tesla has announced plans to dramatically expand its supercharger network, which enables Tesla Model S drivers to travel long distances, for free, indefinitely. The expansion of the network builds upon the Supercharger network that covers California and Nevada on the west coast and the Washington, DC to Boston region on the east coast. Superchargers are designed for city to city travel, enabling Model S electric vehicle drivers to travel for about three hours, take a 20 to 30 minute break to grab lunch or a soda or coffee, and get back on the road charged up, for free.
Honda has reduced the lease price on the 2013 Honda Fit EV from $389 a month to $259 a month. The three-year lease also requires no down payment, has unlimited mileage and comes with a Leviton 240 volt EV home charging station.
The first official photo of the all-new 2014 BMW X5 has leaked online just ahead of its debut in a few hours. Codenamed F15, the 2014 X5 is the third-generation of the popular crossover. From this single photo it's obvious that the new X5 takes some styling cues from the 3 Series as well as the X3 and X1 crossovers.
GM has taken the wraps off the all-new 2014 Sierra 1500 Denali. When it's equipped with the available 6.2L EcoTec3 V-8 it packs an estimated 420 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, the most power and torque of any light duty truck engine.
Aston Martin has unveiled the new V12 Vantage S, which replaces the old V12 Vantage. The V12 Vantage S is now the fastest road-going Aston Martin, well with the exception of the One-77. With its 565 horsepower 6.0L V12 engine, the Vantage S will reach 0-60 mph in under four seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of 205 mph.
For this year's Life Ball, the annual event that raises funds for projects helping to combat HIV/AIDS, Roberto Cavalli created a one-off version of the new Mini Paceman. The Roberto Cavalli designed Paceman featured gold elements inside and out, iridescent paintwork that shimmers from black to brown depending on the angle of light and the use of his hallmark animal prints. A few hours before its premiere, the one-of-a-kind MINI was auctioned for a record 150,000 euros during the AIDS Solidarity gala.
GM has announced that the all-new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray has been SAE certified at 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque with the available performance exhaust system. The Stingray is SAE-certified at 455 horsepower and 460 lb-ft with the standard exhaust system. They are the highest standard power ratings ever for the Corvette and GM expects it to also get 26 mpg on the highway.
Kia's all-new 2014 Cadenza luxury sedan is moving the brand further and further away from its "value brand" label that it was known for ten years ago. WIth a price tag starting around $36,000 and a long list of standard luxury features, Kia hopes to attract buyers that would normally buy an Acura TL or Lexus ES.
Acura has mainly only had a North American presence since its birth 28 years ago, but Honda has announced plans to expand its luxury division into more global markets, like Russia and China.
BMW and Pininfarina have combined forces to create the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé, which is being unveiled at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2013. It's a one-off coupe that is meant to represent the exclusive interpretation of a luxurious BMW Coupé as seen through the eyes of Pininfarina.
For buyers that love the Fiat 500, but need more room, Fiat is introducing the longer 2014 Fiat 500L. The 2014 Fiat 500L expands the 500's appeal by offering 42 percent extra interior space with seating for five and a 160-horsepower 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine. The 2014 Fiat 500L starts at $19,100.
Mary Barra, General Motors senior vice president, Global Product Development, has announced that GM will donate the first production 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport to the SAE Foundation. A live auction will be conducted by Barrett-Jackson later this year, and proceeds will be provided to the SAE Foundation for its science, technology, engineering and mathematics student outreach programs.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary McLaren has announced the limited-edition McLaren 50 12C and 12C Spider. The McLaren 50 12C and McLaren 50 12C Spider feature a number of bespoke styling and specification enhancements to mark the milestone event, which will be celebrated in September.
GM has announced the pricing for the 2014 Chevy Spark EV, which starts at $27,495 or as low as $19,995 after the available federal tax credit and as low as $17,495 if you include the state credits. Buyers can also lease the 2014 Spark EV 1LT model for as low as $199 a month for 36 months, with only $999 due at signing.
With all of the accolades that Tesla has received for the its new Model S and posting its first quarterly profit, Tesla is having a great year. NowTesla has just announced that it has paid off the entire loan awarded to the company by the Department of Energy in 2010, nine years early. In addition to payments made in 2012 and Q1 2013, today's wire of almost half a billion dollars ($451.8M) repays the full loan with interest. Following this payment, Tesla will be the only American car company to have fully repaid the government.
The all-new 2015 VW GTI is slated to arrive around this time next year, but the model that most enthusiasts are probably most excited about is the top dog of the Golf lineup, the Golf R. VW hasn't unveiled the new Golf R, but prototypes of the high-performance hatch have been zooming around the Nürburgring in Germany.
Lexus previewed a new coupe version of the all-new IS sedan with the LF-CC concept and now according to Whatcar? the IS Coupe is slated to arrive in 2014 as a 2015 model. The LF-CC concept debuted at last year's Paris Motor Show and it is expected that the IS Coupe's finally styling will not move too far away from the concept.
Yay summer is here, but while most of us are looking forward to taking some much needed time off, Ford's workforce won't be as lucky. Ford is going to add an additional 200,000 units of annual straight-time capacity this year. In addition, Ford will produce an extra 40,000 units by idling select plants for only one week during what has been the traditional two-week summer shutdown.
Kia has confirmed that its new rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan, the Quoris will indeed be offered in the US. At the launch of the 2014 Kia Cadenza, Kia confirmed to Automotive.com that the Quoris will arrive in the US soon and when it does it will be priced between $50k-$70k.
Toyota has released a teaser photo of the all-new 2014 Toyota Corolla, which is going to be unveiled at a private event in LA on June 6th. This teaser photo gives us a look at the Corolla S model's taillights and part of its rear end.
The updated 2013 Nissan Leaf is now more efficient than the nearly identical 2012 model. Last year's Nissan Leaf was rated at a 99 MPGe for combined city and highway, while the 2013 Leaf now has a 115 MPGe rating. Updates to the 2013 Leaf have made it more aerodynamic and its regenerative braking system has been improved. The 2013 Leaf has a drag coefficient of 0.28 compared to 0.29 for the 2012 Leaf.
The 2013 Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid has earned the highest possible "five-star" Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid joins the Ford Fusion and the Fusion Hybrid which already received five-star safety ratings. NHTSA has elected to test plug-in vehicles separately from vehicles powered by gasoline engines as the market share of electrified vehicles is increasing.
Aston Martin has taken the covers off its newest concept, the CC100 Speedster concept, which celebrates Aston Martin's 100th birthday. The one-off CC100 looks both to the past and the DBR1 - Aston Martin's greatest sporting triumph on the track - and to the future with its teasing glimpses of a potential future design direction.
Do you like the all-new 2014 Lexus IS, but want even more style? Toyota's TRD division has put together a new styling and performance kit for the new IS. The styling part of the package includes a kit that includes larger side skirts, a revised front bumper and a rear diffuser with dual exhaust. The TRD-spec IS also gets new 19-inch alloy wheels.
BMW has unveiled the updates to the entire 2014 5 Series range. The 2014 5 Series gets an updated exterior, a new diesel engine for the sedan and more available equipment. On the outside the 2014 5 Series sedan gets a revised grille and redesigned lower air intakes. The accentuated width of the rear end is underlined by an extra crease in the apron and the taillights have been updated.
As expected BMW has announced plans for a new Competition Package for the 2014 BMW M5 and M6 models. The Competition Package boosts the 4.4-liter V-8's output by 15 hp 575 hp. At the same time, the package includes an extensively tuned the chassis set-up. Along with new coil springs and damper calibrations, anti-sway bars have also been stiffened. For the BMW M5, these adjustments have resulted in a lowering of the car by around 10 millimeters. The potential inherent in the rear axle design - based on the race-derived principle of the rear axle subframe being rigidly bolted to the body - and the even more precisely calibrated bushings for the front axle are exploited with the Competition Package.
Aston Martin has released this teaser of its new concept that will be unveiled on May 19th. The new concept coincides with the celebration of Aston Martin's 100th anniversary. According to Aston Martin, the concept "encompasses the past, present and future in one exceptional design."
Chrysler has delayed the production kick for the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee by at least a month, but remains confident that inventory will be strong by the fall. We did start with an initial scheduled plan of the third week in May, and now we are into mid-June," Mark Chernoby, Chrysler's senior vice president of engineering, told the Free Press. "That is just due to a wide range of issues."
The all-new 2014 Subaru Forester has received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The Forester is the only one of two vehicles out of 13 small SUVs to earn an overall rating of good in the test. The other model to earn the rating was the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
Volvo's V60 plug-in hybrid, which is also the world's first diesel plug-in hybrid, is selling higher than Volvo's initial expectations. Volvo is now ramping up production by 90 percent, just to keep up with the demand. The increased demand, especially in Holland, Belgium and Italy, means that the Plug-in Hybrid production at Volvo Cars' Torslanda plant in Sweden will be increased continuously from 150 to 282 units per week. All in all, Volvo Cars will produce 7,600 plug-in hybrids in 2013 - and the 2014 target is 10,000 units.
Porsche has released a batch of new photos of the 918 Spyder and officially confirmed the specs for the hybrid supercar. The 918 Spyder has been designed, developed and produced by Porsche engineers who build race cars, in cooperation with series production specialists. A great deal of insight gained from the development of Porsche race cars for the 24 hours race in Le Mans in 2014 is thus integrated into the 918 Spyder - and vice versa. The 918 Spyder will also act as the gene pool for the Porsche sports cars of the future.
BMW has unveiled the new M Sport edition package that is available on the 2014 BMW 6 Series Coupe, BMW 6 Series Convertible and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. The M Sport edition models include the M Sport package, which consists of an M aerodynamics package, 19-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design, LED foglamps, the BMW Individual High-gloss Shadow Line, black-painted brake callipers, exhaust tail pipes in dark chrome and Adaptive LED headlights.
As promised Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan. On the outside the new S-Class adopts some of the same styling details as the CLS and CLA models, which gives the S-Class a sportier appearance. From some angles it also adopts some of the same styling cues as the smaller E-Class.
Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars stated, "Rather than being about safety or aesthetics, power or efficiency, comfort or dynamism, our aspirations were 'the best or nothing' in every respect. No other car stands for the Mercedes-Benz brand promise more than the S-Class."
Dodge has announced that two new 2013 Dodge Dart "Special Edition" packages and a new Rallye Appearance Group are available. The new packages are available on Dart SXT and Limited models, combine features and content both exclusive to the segment and most frequently ordered by Dart customers.
Cadillac has announced that the 2014 Cadillac XTS will be available with the same twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 as the new 2014 Cadillac CTS. Even though the XTS is available with the same engine, its output will be slightly less than the CTS at 410 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. The turbocharged engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and on the outside the turbocharged XTS will get a unique grille and deck lid badging.
BMW has released a teaser of the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé, which is the result of a partnership between BMW and Pininfarina. The BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé will be unveiled at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2013 and is the sequel to the BMW Zagato Coupé that was introduced at last year's Concorso.
General Motors and Nissan have announced that the companies have signed an agreement for Nissan to produce a small cargo vehicle that GM will sell in the United States and Canada. GM expects the 2015 Chevrolet City Express, which is based on the Nissan NV200, to be available for sale in the fall of 2014.
Acura has just confirmed that the all-new NSX supercar will be produced at a new Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio, starting in 2015. The new $70 million advanced production facility encompassing 184,000 square feet to be housed inside Honda's former North American Logistics facility and located in the midst of Honda's existing R&D and production engineering operations.
Infiniti is going to reportedly add more crossovers to its lineup and a new halo model above the current Q70 sedan in an effort to build the brand's presence and sales. President Johan de Nysschen has revealed to the Automotive News that Infiniti's plan is to cover 90 percent of all global premium segments by the end of the decade, compared to just under 60 percent today.
Acura has announced the updates to the 2014 Acura ILX, which gets more standard features for the new model year. It's been widely reported that the ILX has failed to meet Acura's initial sales expectations, so hopefully the new features will help.
VW used the Wörthersee festival to unveil the Amarok Power-Pickup concept, which is powered by a 268-hp 3.0L V6 TDI engine. The Power-Pickup, based on an Amarok single cab, is designed as a rolling workshop to carry spare parts, tools and race equipment. It reaches 0-62 mph in 7.9 seconds and the V6 engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent 4MOTION transmission.
Yup you read that right. Tessa Baughman a GM engineer recently took the 2014 Chevy Cruze Turbo Diesel to Arkansas, where she drove 900 miles on one tank of diesel fuel. The Cruze Turbo Diesel is powered by a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine and is officially rated at 46 mpg on the highway, but Baughman explains how it's possible to squeeze out even more mpg.
Lamborghini has unveiled the new Lamborghini Egoista, which celebrates Lamborghini's 50th anniversary. "I am very attached to this Italian brand, being an Italian myself. I wanted to pay homage to and think up a vehicle to underline the fact that Lamborghinis have always been made with passion, and with the heart more than the head," said Walter De Silva.
Bentley has announced six new Le Mans Limited Edition trims that are available on the Mulsanne and the Continental models and will be produced exclusively for North America. Each model is inspired by a driver from Bentley's six victories at the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours race.
The 2013 Honda Civic has received the received the highest possible overall safety ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The 2013 Civic Sedan recently received the top 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score in the NHTSA's New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), and the highest possible rating of TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the IIHS, including a top score of GOOD in the new small overlap frontal collision test.

Consumer Reports has announced that the Tesla Model S has received a rating of 99 out of 100, which means that it's has been rated higher than any other model recently tested. Back in 2007, the Lexus LS 460L also received a score of 99 out of 100, but since then no other model has been able to achieve the same rating.

Here are the first official photos of the 503-hp VW Design Vision GTI concept that is debuting this week at at the Wörthersee festival. VW's designers and engineers created the race car concept specifically for the event. Based on the seventh-generation GTI, the Design Vision GTI's design team has drawn the C-pillars and sills outward as autonomous body elements, thus creating space for substantially wider front and rear tracks, as well as specially developed 20-inch wheels.
Volkswagen is reportedly working on a new carbon fiber roof option for specific performance versions of the Golf. The new carbon fiber roof will help the Golf drop around 20 pounds, which will improve its performance and fuel economy.
Nissan has released this video of a Nissan GT-R taking on an Oris Swiss Hunter Fighter Jet with 22,000 HP in a land-sky speed challenge. The race in the Swiss Alps was organized by German-based N-Magazine.

Each year Mini works with a designer to create a unique Mini model that is auctioned off at the ball, with proceeds going to projects dedicated to the battle against and prevention of HIV and AIDS. This year the Mini Paceman has been modified by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli.
Scion has announced the pricing for the limited edition Scion 10 Series models in addition to the 2014 tC and iQ. The limited-production Scion 10 Series features a unique version of each vehicle in the Scion lineup to mark Scion's 10th anniversary. Each model is painted in Silver Ignition, with matching silver seat belts and carries through the anniversary theme through unique interior and exterior touches. The Scion 10 Series models start as low as $17,850 for the iQ and go all the way up to $28,675 for the automatic equipped FR-S 10 Series Edition.
VW has often been criticized lately because of the fact that its turbocharged 2.0L generates a lot less horsepower than other automakers like Hyundai and Kia, which are generating a lot more power from an engine that is the same size. Although the new VW GTI's 2.0L engine can generate up to 230 horsepower with the optional performance pack, VW has upped the ante even more with a twin-turbocharged 503-hp 3.0L V6 engine.

To get ready for the movie, Audi wants to know what happens when old school goes head to head with new school in a battle of speed and wits? Audi is putting the Spock of past (Leonard Nimoy) and present (Zachary Quinto) together in its latest commercial for the Audi S7.
GM has unveiled the new 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country, which will join the LTZ and Z71 models in the Silverado lineup this fall. On the outside the Silverado High Country gets a unique chrome grille with horizontal chrome bars, projector headlamps, body-color front and rear bumpers and chrome body side moldings, door handles and mirrors. It also rides on unique 20-inch chrome wheels.
The original VW Scirocco launched in 1974 and now 39 years and three generations later, VW is celebrating the production of the one millionth Scirocco with the new Scirocco Million special edition. The Scirocco Million is painted in "Deep Black Metallic " with an accent strip running down the center of the body. The exterior rear mirror caps are painted in "Galvanic Grey" and it rides on standard "Interlagos" 18-inch alloy wheels. The Scirocco Million edition also gets R-Line bumpers, R-Line side sills, smoked tail lights, "Million" stickers on the wings and rear windows that are 90% smoked.
Kia is bring back the Kia Sedona minivan for the 2014 model year. The once dead minivan returns to Kia's lineup with a few updates and more interior features.
VW has given the Beetle Turbo, Beetle Turbo Convertible, and the Jetta GLI models a few updates, with the most notable upgrade being the addition of the new version of VW's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The new engine makes 210 horsepower, an increase of 10 hp over the previous Gen 2 TSI engine. Peak power is generated 200 revs higher in the engine range, at 5300 rpm, and torque remains unchanged at 207 pound-feet. The Beetle Turbo coupe takes 6.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph, 0.2 seconds less than the previous version: At 6.7 seconds, the Jetta GLI is a tenth faster with the manual transmission and two tenths quicker with the DSG dual-clutch automatic than the cars equipped with the Gen 2 engine.
Porsche has unveiled the new 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S models, which happen to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the first 911 Turbo prototype. The 911 Turbo models get an new all-wheel-drive system, active rear axle steering, adaptive aerodynamics, full-LED headlights, and up to 560 hp from a 3.8L flat six-cylinder engine.
The all-new 2014 GMC Sierra pickup arrives this summer and when it does it will arrive with safety features like Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning. The 2014 Sierra also gets a new Safety Alert Seat system, which transmits a vibration through the surface of the driver's seat bottom cushion to direct the driver's attention toward a possible concern on the road ahead.
Ford has announced plans to add more than 2,000 jobs to support high demand for Ford F-150 plus the planned production of the all-new Transit family of commercial vehicles starting next summer. Ford is adding 900 jobs and a third crew in the third quarter to build F-150. U.S. sales of Ford's F-Series trucks increased 24 percent in April and 19 percent year to date. Ford also is adding another 1,100 jobs starting in the fourth quarter to prepare for the introduction of the all-new Ford Transit full-size van in 2014.
Nissan has announced the pricing for the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition, which starts at $115,710. The Track Edition features a specially tuned suspension, special brake cooling guides, front spoiler with carbon fiber air ducts and a lightweight quilted cloth mat where the rear seats usually reside. Availability of the GT-R Track Edition is limited to 150 units for the United States.
