Lincoln has announced the launch of its new advertising campaign: "Introducing the Lincoln Motor Company." Lincoln was originally called the Lincoln Motor Company in 1922, when Edsel Ford signed the agreement purchasing the company from its founder Henry Leland. By reintroducing "The Lincoln Motor Company," the advertising campaign seeks to capture the founding principles of the company.

Tesla has announced that it is raising the prices for the Model S sedan, which now starts at $59,900, which is up from $57,400 ($49,900 after federal tax credits). The price increase applies to new reservations starting January 1, 2013. Although Tesla is raising the pricing for the Model S, Tesla is quick to point out that the initial starting price was announced in March 2009, which is over three and a half years ago.

Subaru's BRZ coupe is in very high demand, so much so that dealers have a hard time keeping them on Subaru lots. Subaru of America has confirmed that dealers will now get 2,000 extra BRZ coupes over the next four months. Currently Subaru only sends about 500 units a month of the Japan-built rear-wheel-drive coupe to the U.S.

The first photos of the BMW 4 Series Coupe Concept have leaked onto the web ahead of its official debut. The concept is a thinly disguised version of the new coupe and also officially confirms that the replacement for the 3 Series Coupe will now be dubbed the 4 Series. The 4 Series will share its platform with the 3 Series, but will get slightly more aggressive styling.

Here's the ultimate wagon! Audi has released the details and photos of the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant, which packs a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 with 560 hp 516 lb-ft of torque. The twin-turbo V8 accelerates the new Audi RS 6 Avant from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds. In the standard configuration, top speed is electronically limited to 155.34 mph. This is increased to 174 mph with the optional Dynamic package and with the Dynamic plus package, the top speed increases to 190 mph.

BMW has officially unveiled the BMW 4 Series Coupe Concept, which will debut next month in Detroit. The new 4 Series Coupe Concept is a preview of the 4 Series Coupe, which will replace the 3 Series Coupe in BMW's lineup. The switch to the 4 Series name, aligns the coupe with BMW's 6 and 8 Series coupes. BMW says that "4" stands for greater sportiness, greater exclusivity and even clearer differentiation from the BMW 3 Series range.

General Motors is reportedly pushing up a midcycle refresh of the Chevy Malibu, that will be released by late next year, only 18 months after the sedan's initial launch. GM CEO Dan Akerson told Automotive News confirmed the plans, which are seen as a response to slow sales of the new Malibu.

Scion is giving the 2013 xB a few updates for the new year. On the outside the 2013 xB gets a new front bumper with a glossy black lower grille and integrated LED accent lighting. Ford has announced that its all-new 2014 Transit full-size van, which goes on sale late next year, will be offered with a new 3.2-liter Power Stroke five-cylinder diesel. The new diesel, Ford's second in North America, is being borrowed from the global Ford Ranger truck sold in world markets. The new Power Stroke Diesel will be the only five-cylinder diesel engine available in a commercial van in North America.

Following several reports, including one from Consumer Reports, the EPA is currently investigating whether Ford's newest hybrids actually achieve their 47 mpg fuel economy ratings. Last week Consumer Reports stated that they were only able to get up to 39 mpg in the Fusion Hybrid and 37 mpg in the C-MAX hybrid. We've also tested the C-MAX Hybrid and also only averaged in the 36-37 mpg range, which is far below Ford's estimates.

Late next year BMW's i3 electric car is slated to arrive and when it does it will mark the provisional culmination of 40 years of development work at BMW. It started back in 1972 at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, where the BMW starting line-up included two electrically powered test vehicles. The converted BMW 1602 models served as a means of transport for the members of the organizing committee, and were also deployed as support and camera cars in various long-distance events.

As expected MINI is going to release a John Cooper Works high-performance version of the new MINI Paceman. The first photos of the MINI John Cooper Works Paceman have leaked online ahead of the model's official debut. From these photos you can see that the high-performance version of the Paceman will gets a new aero kit with a new bumper, side skirts and large tailpipes. Under the hood the John Cooper Works Paceman will be powered by the same 208-hp turbocharged 1.6L engine as the rest of the JCW models.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the refreshed 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which gets a completely new face, which is more drastic than the normal midlife changes we expect. The squared off face with its four individual headlights is gone and is now replaced one-piece headlights, while flowing light elements within the headlights help to retain the "four-eyed" appearance that is such a distinctive E-Class signature. Low beam and daytime running lights both come with partial LED as standard, while full-LED headlamps are available as an option for the first time in this class. The hood and front bumper have also been completely redesigned, which effectively does away with the squared off look.

Yesterday GM unveiled its all-new 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups, but now we have some early details about their crosstown rival, the Ford F-Series. The next-generation 2015 Ford F-Series is slated to arrive in the fall of 2014. Ford has reportedly set a goal of improving the next pickup's fuel economy by 15-20 percent, which would also make it the most fuel efficient model in the segment.

This is your first look at the successor to the Ferrari Enzo, which has the codename F150. The supercar will use a new carbon fiber chassis that uses four different types of carbon fiber, which are both hand-rolled and and produced in an autoclave. Ferrari reportedly used its experience in Formula 1 to create the new model. It's expected that the Enzo successor will be powered by a V12 engine, which should put out around 800 horsepower

Lexus produced the last LFA last week, a white LFA Nürburgring Package, which was the last of the 500 cars that were planned. Production of the LFA started exactly two years ago, on December 15, 2010, and included a team of around 170 hand-picked takumi workers involved in parts manufacturing, vehicle assembly and painting. The high performance LFA was produced at the rate of just one unit per day.

GM has announced that the 2013 Chevy Cruze is getting an industry-first driver-side air bag that uses a flexible venting technology designed to deploy more efficiently while providing equivalent crash protection to more expensive and complex air bag systems. NHTSA recently tested the 2013 Cruze with the new air bag technology and gave it NHTSA's maximum 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score, the same rating it received in 2011 and 2012 when the small car used a dual-stage air bag system.

Toyota has announced the pricing for the all-new fourth generation 2013 Toyota RAV4, which starts at $23,300. The 2013 RAV4 arrives in showrooms next month with a more stylish exterior, improved fuel efficiency and more features. In addition to the all-new design, the other big changes are the deletion of the optional V6 and the third row of seats. The new RAV4 only seats five passengers and comes standard with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine.

GM has announced that it will purchase 200 million shares of GM common stock held by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for $5.5 billion, or $27.50 per share. The share buyback is part of the Treasury's plan, also announced today, to fully exit its entire holdings of GM stock within 12 to 15 months. Treasury intends to begin its disposition of its remaining shares as soon as January 2013, consistent with a pre-arranged written trading plan.

Mazda has released the pricing for the 2014 Mazda6 on its website, which lists the starting price for the new sedan at $20,880 for the Mazda6 Sport with manual transmission. Mazda hasn't made an official announcement about the pricing breakdown, but its website shows a top of the line Mazda6 Grand Touring model, which has a $29,495 price tag. Of course you also have to add the $795 destination fees to the final pricing.

Two days ago Infiniti announced that is changing the names of all of its models starting with the 2014 model year. The news was somewhat shocking considering how long the brand has spent building up awareness for models like the G sedan and FX crossover. The new models will all carry either Q or QX and each model will be further identified by a double digit representing hierarchy within the range. Johan de Nysschen recently wrote this note to Infiniti owners and fans to explain the change. He also dropped hints about a new sedan powered by a turbocharged V6 with over 550 horsepower:

GM has announced that production of the next-generation Chevy Camaro will move from GM's Oshawa, Ontario plant to its Lansing Grand River (LGR) plant in Lansing, Michigan. According to GM, lower capital investment and improved production efficiencies were key factors in the business case. The Camaro is the only rear-wheel drive vehicle built at Oshawa. Assembling the next-generation Camaro at LGR consolidates the RWD assembly with the Cadillac CTS and ATS.

Photos of the 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible have hit the internet ahead of its official world debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. On the outside the GT Speed Convertible gets the same styling upgrades as the coupe version and under the hood it's powered by the same 6.0L W12 engine with 616 horsepower and 590 lb-ft. of torque. The 6.0L engine is mated to an eight-speed transmission, and the convertible will reach 0-60 mph in about four seconds.

Ford has announced plans to spend more than $773 million on new equipment and capacity expansions across six manufacturing facilities in southeast Michigan as it delivers on a commitment to invest $6.2 billion in U.S. plants by 2015. The investments in Michigan will create 2,350 new hourly jobs and allow the company to retain an additional 3,240 hourly jobs. The 2,350 new positions are part of the 12,000 hourly jobs that Ford is adding across the U.S. by 2015.

Alfa Romeo has sent out a greeting card that teases the debut of the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C, which describes the 4C as the car to end all cars. The mid-engined 4C will be nearly identical to the concept version that debuted in 2011.

A class action lawsuit is being filed against Ford due to its "misleading ads" that claim that the 2013 C-Max and Fusion hybrid models achieve 47 mpg. Both hybrids are rated at 47 mpg in the city, 47 mpg on the highway and 47 mpg combined, but its been revealed that in actual real world tests neither model achieves those ratings.

Following the first leaked photos of the upcoming 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA, we now have our look at a 1:18 scale diecast model of the CLA that gives us a another look at the new model. The 2014 CLA is expected to debut in a few weeks at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, but even though a scaled down version is shown here, its our closest look yet at the production version.

Nissan plans to increase the warranty on the electric Nissan Leaf's battery in response to owners' concerns about its durability. Nissan will repair or replace the Leaf's lithium-ion battery if it loses more than 30 percent of its ability to hold a charge after five years or 60,000 miles. The good part is that Nissan will make the warranty apply to new and current owners.

Mitsubishi is going to bring its new small car, the Mirage to the US by the end of next year. While the new Mirage subcompact doesn't really break any new ground on the outside, what is noteworthy is the fact that it will be powered by a small 1.2L three-cylinder engine. When the Mirage arrives next fall it will be the third model sold in the U.S. with a three-cylinder engine, following the Smart Fortwo and the refreshed 2014 Ford Fiesta.

Infiniti is going to unveil the all-new 2014 Infinti Q50 at the Detroit Auto Show in just a few weeks. The Q50 is the official replacement for the G sedan, since Infiniti has also decided to rename all of its models. To get us ready for the new sedan, Infiniti has released this teaser video, which provides a glimpse at the sedan's headlights.

Ford has announced that the 2013 Ford Fusion Energi is expected to get up to 92 MPGe on the highway, 108 MPGe in the city and have a combined 100 MPGe. That rating puts it ahead of the Toyota Prius plug-in, but slightly behind the 2014 Honda Accord plug-in hybrid, which has a 115 MPGe rating.
