2009 Dodge Challenger Will Not Be Sold in Europe


According to AutoTelegraaf the upcoming Dodge Challenger is only going to be built in limited numbers, which means that Europeans are out of luck. The car will only be sold in the US when it debuts next year.

Nissan is going to unveil its new Mixim Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The Mixim is a fully electric vehicle that is powered by a compact lithium-ion battery pack that drives two electric "Super Motors".

Upcoming Audi RS6 May Produce Over 600HP! Is That Too Much?


In the past Japanese automakers had to downplay the actual horsepower ratings of their vehicles due to certain laws in Japan. This meant that many of Japan's high-performance vehicles all had around 274-276 horsepower, even though they were obviously capable of much more. Well Audi seems to be doing the same thing with the upcoming RS6.

Yesterday the official photos of the all-new Audi A4 were revealed prior to its official unveiling next month. Now we have photos of the S-Line package.

The Honda Stream Mini-MPV is Coming to the US by 2009


According to Winding Road, the next-generation Honda Stream mini-MPV is going to be sold in the US by 2009. The Stream has been a hit for Honda since it was originally released in 2000, but the current redesign has received mixed reviews.

Yesterday a single image of the upcoming A4 was sedan was leaked onto the internet. Today Audi released more photos of the new sedan and the full details.

Mitsubishi Concept CX Photo Leaked


Mitsubishi recently released a sketch of the upcoming Concept CX, now an official photo has surfaced. The car is set to be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show. You can think of the CX Concept as a sort of Lancer hatchback, since it has a similar front end as the compact sedan.

2008 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT-S Revealed


Maserati has taken the wraps off the Quattroporte Sport GT-S sedan that will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The GT-S builds on the Sport GT package with better handling and looks.

Next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Honda is going to unveil the Accord Tourer Concept that hints at the replacement for the UK Honda Accord (pictured above). The UK Honda Accord is essentially the same sedan that we have in the US, which is rebadged as the Acura TSX (the US-spec Accord is not the same).

Hyundai Genesis Will Have a 380HP V8


According to the guys over at, the new flagship Genesis sedan is going to be powered by a 380HP V8. Hyundai's R&D boss, Hyun-Soon Lee provided the stats on the 4.6L V8 to a group of Korean executives.

The all-new 2009 Audi A4 is set for an unveiling at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, but thanks to we have our first look at an official photo of the new car. Unfortunately we only have one photo of the car, but it is apparent that the next A4 will borrow many of the same design cues from the new A5/S5 coupe.

Jaguar has revealed its new XF sedan ahead of its official unveiling at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show. The XF, which will launch early next year will replace the aged S-Type sedan and is very important for Jaguar.

Nissan plans on going head to head with Toyota's RAV4 and Honda's CR-V this fall with the Rogue SUV. In the first seven months of this year, the Honda CR-V has moved up to steal the top spot as the top selling SUV in the U.S. Nissan hopes to get in on the action with its new Sentra based SUV.

According to Nissan's global design chief Shiro Nakamura, Infiniti is considering adding new models to its lineup that will stray from Infiniti's current image. A new small car, a large "people mover", a GT-R based coupe and new smaller engines are reportedly in the works.

2009 Dodge Journey Unveiled...Yay Another Crossover!


Dodge has unveiled the new Journey crossover SUV that is going to be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. Spy photos of the upcoming SUV have been circulating for months and now we have our first look at the Avenger-based SUV.

Ford has announced that the automaker is finally going to bring a new small car to the US that will be smaller than the Ford Focus. The next Ford Fiesta is going to share its platform with the recently introduced Mazda2.

The new Land Rover LR2 has only been on our shores since this spring, but this November there will be a new version of the LR2, the LR2 HSE.

2008 Honda Fit/ Jazz Photos Show Up on the Internet


The Temple of VTEC has posted magazine photos of the all-new 2008 Honda Fit/ Jazz before it is officially unveiled at the end of the month.

Ford CEO, Allan Mulally has announced that the next generation small and midsize cars from the Blue Oval will be global cars. This means that models like the Ford Focus, which differs from the model in Europe will finally be the same car.

The Saturn Astra is one of more of the exciting new GM models that is going to be offered for 2008. Basically because the Astra that we will get here is essentially the same as the Opel Astra sold in Europe. The Opel Astra is one of the most popular small car in Europe.

The unveiling of Nissan's GT-R supercar is right around the corner. The car has yet to enter production and there is already a waiting list. Some of those buyers on the waiting list may be looking to flip the Nissan GT-R to make a profit, but they may have to think again.

The famous time machine car from the three "Back to the Future" movies is going to be produced again after a 25 year hiatus. The DeLorean company was re-established in 1995 and has been refurbishing the cars since then. Next year up to two DeLoreans will be produced per month in Humble, Texas.

2008 Dodge Caliber SRT4 With 285HP Will Start at $22,995


Dodge has announced the pricing for its tricked out Dodge Caliber SRT4. $22,995 gets you 285 horsepower and 265lb.-ft. of torque plus full list of SRT performance modifications.

According to a post on the North American GT-R Owner's Club forum, Nissan is going to display the new GT-R at the LA Auto Show this November. The car is going to make its official debut at the Tokyo Auto Show in October, but its first official US debut will be in Los Angeles.

Ok after months of looking at spy photos of the 2008 Accord coupe and sedan we finally have the official photos and the specs. The top engine will be a 3.5L V6 that puts out 268 horsepower and the 2.4L 4-cyl has either 177hp or 190hp.

Mercedes-Benz has recently introduced the all-new 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan. The new sedan boasts a sexier exterior, new engines and more interior room than the outgoing model. Are these changes enough to win over would be BMW or Lexus buyers?

Acura has had a hard time trying to win customers from Lexus and BMW due to the fact that the Acura lineup lacks a V8 or a rear-wheel-drive platform. Volvo is going to unveil its new C30 Efficiency car next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The car only consumes 4.5L of fuel per every 100 kilometers (52.26 mpg).

2008 Honda Accord Coupe Gets Accessorized...UGLY!


The all-new 2008 Honda Accord hasn't even been officially unveiled yet, but someone has captured a photo of the new coupe with a whole bunch of aftermarket ad-ons.

BMW has announced that the BMW 335i coupe will have all-wheel-drive as an option. The 328i coupe already has the AWD option. Audi's success with their Quattro AWD systems has promted BMW to add AWD to more of their vehicles.

The Chrysler PT Cruiser May Die After 2009...Good News?


Chrysler execs have confirmed that the aging PT Cruiser is going to stay in production until at least the end of 2009. The automaker has made no promises that the car will be built after 2009 nor if there will be a next-generation model.

The 2008 models are right around the corner. Infiniti has released the full specs and photos of the 2008 Infiniti M sedan. The car receives refreshed styling and the M45 will have an all-wheel-drive option.

Yesterday I posted info and specs on the upcoming 2008 Aston Martin DBS. Today Aston Martin released all the specs and a plethora of photos.

The next-generation Chevrolet Malibu is very important to GM. The automaker has already announced that when the all-new sedan hits showrooms, Chevy dealers will have Accords and Camrys on hand to show consumers how it compares (or is better). GM is also planning a $100 million campaign to help launch the new sedan.

It seems like there are new spy photos every week of the new 2008 Honda Accord. So much so that when the photos are officially released, it is going to be old news. Aston Martin is going to reveal the awesome DBS coupe. It is officially being unveiled at the Pebble Beach d'Elegance this week and will go on sale in the first quarter of next year. Anyone that saw the latest Bond flick, Casino Royale will recognize this sweet car.

Whoa Nelly! 2008 Chevy HHR SS Revealed with 260HP


Spy photos of the SS version of the Chevrolet HHR have been posted several times all over the net. Chevy has finally officially unveiled the high-performance version of the tall wagon. 260 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds.

Infiniti has released photos of its upcoming compact SUV. The new smaller SUV borrows styling cues from the other Infiniti models. The EX35 also uses the same 3.5L V6 that is in the G35 with over 290 horsepower.

Lincoln has announced the changes to the Navigator SUV for the 2008 model year. Both the standard Navigator and the Navigator L get more standard features for the new year.

BMW UK has released several photos of the new BMW M3 coupe. Let's just say that the car is beautiful!

KGP spy photographers have caught what appears to be a Jeep Wrangler-based pickup truck. It seems that Jeep is working on a production version of the Jeep JT Concept.

Toyota has yet to fully unveil the 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser, but Toyota's Honduran affiliate doesn't seem to mind. Corporacion Flores has posted several photos of the new SUV.

Ferrari Dino Spy Photos...The Ferrari for the Masses


Although Ferrari has denied that the automaker is working on a new entry-level Dino model, spy photographers have caught photos of what looks like a test mule for the car. Although the car is wearing 599 bodywork, it is obvious that there is something different about the car. According to Brenda Priddy the main sign was that the engine did not have the same engine sound as the other Ferraris. Basically the smaller Ferrari lacked the same rasp of the current Ferraris.


Spy photographers have caught Ford's new supermini testing. It adopts many of the same styling cues as the Mondeo and S-MAX. The car is going to feature a large grille, flared wheel arches and angular headlamps.

Or Maybe not... According to BusinessWeek Volkswagen takes the award for having the most recalled 2007 models. VW recalled just over 1 million New Beetles because of faulty brake light switches.

Brenda Priddy & Co. have taken some new shots of the upcoming Lamda-based Chevy CUV. GM currently has three CUVs based on this platform, the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook. It is up in the air if Chevrolet is going to stick with the Traverse name when the CUV debuts in 2009.

Audi Integrates the iPhone on Most of its Vehicles


Audi has announced that the automaker and Apple have been working closely to make sure that the new iPhone works in most Audi vehicles. Any Audi model with the Bluetooth option will allow the usage of the iPhone. This means that users will be able to make and receive hands-free phone calls, assign specific names to numbers and access call lists.

Porsche has unveiled a new limited-edition version of the Cayman S, which is being labeled as the Porsche Design Edition 1. The special car is being launched to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Ferdinand Alexander Porsche's original Porsche Design chronograph.

2008 Chevy Aveo 5-Door Revealed...What's With That Grille?!


Chevrolet has unveiled the newly restyled Aveo 5-door for the European market, the successor to the Kalos. The sedan version already received a restyle for the 2007 model year, although for some reason Chevy did not update the 5-door. Well now the automaker has updated it and all I can say is....what's up with that wannabe Audi grille?


The Mazda5 has been on the market for three years, so it is time for a refresh. Spy photographers have caught some photos of a 2008 prototype with a slightly revised front end and new rims.

So we've seen several spy photos of the new Accord in the past few months, especially the new sedan. We have only seen a few photos of the new coupe without any camouflage. But now thanks to one guy in Ohio, we now have photos of the new coupe with only the badges covered in tape.

VW Golf BlueMotion Diesel Will Achieve 52mpg


Volkswagen is going to unveil a new more fuel-efficient Golf at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month. The all-new Golf will only use 4.5L of diesel fuel per 100km, which translates to 52mpg in the US.

2008 Nissan Maxima Starts at $28,120



Nissan has announced the pricing for the 2008 Nissan Maxima, which is currently on sale. The Nissan Maxima 3.5 SE Xtronic CVT starts at $28,120 and the 3.5 SL will start at $30,380. With the exception of a new Platinum package there are not any changes to the 255hp Maxima.

2009 Jaguar XF Spy Photos...The New Jag is Almost Uncovered

We've seen so many spy photos of the new 2009 Jaguar XF testing all over the world. Brenda Priddy even auctioned off a piece of the tape that was used to camouflage one of the prototypes. Now we have our first look at the car almost completely uncovered.

We've seen several spy photos of Hyundai's new RWD Tiburon coupe in the past few months. Now we have an "official" photo rendering of the new coupe. The rendering looks very close to test mules that have been spotted, but it gives us a glimpse of what the front end may look like.

We've seen many spy photos of the upcoming Dodge Challenger muscle car. Most of those photos were from guys with handy camera phones that didn't show that much detail. There new photos from the show more details of the car that others have missed.

More Info On the Return of the Toyota AE86 aka RWD Corolla


According to Automotive News, Toyota and Subaru are hard at work on plans to co-develop a sports car under the Toyota brand. The new car will be priced under $16,900 and have an engine smaller than 2 liters.

Spy photographers have caught the upcoming Kia Mesa SUV testing with the front-end exposed. What has been revealed is a very bland SUV that looks no better than any of the other body-on-frame SUVs in its class.

Next month Suzuki is going to unveil a new mid-level sedan concept car labeled the Kizashi. A production version of the sedan is expected to be released by 2010.

Saab is going to unveil a new "Turbo X" model of the new 9-3 at the Frankfurt Motor Show that will draw inspiration from Saab's 99 and 900 "Black Turbo" models.

Volvo Wants to go After the BMW 3-Series...Is it Possible?


According to Autocar, Volvo is going to re-position its S40 and S60 models by 2010.

Ford has announced the pricing for it's new Sync system that was co-developed with Microsoft. Ford Sync offers the ability to connect digital media players such as the iPod and Bluetooth cell phones to your car, which then can be controlled using your voice and steering wheel mounted controls.

Porsche has announced the pricing for the new 2008 Limited Edition Boxster and Boxster S. The Limited Edition Porsche Boxster starts at $49,900 (Reg: $45,800) and the Boxster S starts at $59,900 (reg: $55,700). Porsche is only going to produce 500 of the orange Boxsters.

For the past 11 years Lexus has held the number one spot in J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study. This year Lexus holds the top spot again, but for the first time Lexus has tied with another automaker, Buick!

Next month Subaru is going to unveil their new WRC car in the form of the Subaru WRC Concept. Petter Solberg will also be on hand for the unveiling.

Chrysler is Going to Release Diesel Trucks After 2009


Chrysler has announced that the automaker will start producing light-duty diesel pickups after 2009. Chrysler is expecting that the diesels will average about 30 percent better fuel economy than the regular gas powered versions.

Mercedes-Benz SLC Coupe Spy Photos...Or Is It a Dodge Viper?

Ok from these photos it may look like someone took their Dodge Viper and welded a bunch of ugly metal on the front. Well according to spy photographers this is a test mule for the upcoming Mercedes SLC.

Last month the IRS announced that the hydrogen-powered Honda FCX fuel cell vehicle was eligible for the Qualified Fuel Cell Motor Vehicle Credit program. The credit is part of the federal Energy Policy Act of 2005, which seeks to promote affordable, dependable and environmentally-sound production and distribution of energy for America's future.

Acura Will Have Diesels on the Market by 2010


Honda has been making headlines lately due to its upcoming diesel engines that will first be offered in the all-new Accord (US). Acura on the other hand has remained quiet. Currently Acura does not have a hybrid or a diesel in its lineup to attract the "green" shoppers and to remain competitive with its competitors.

The upcoming sedan version of the BMW M3 has yet to be officially unveiled, but spy photographers have caught the sedan without any camo.

Hyundai is planning on bringing a production version of the 5-door in this sketch next year as a 2009 model. The new model will be named the Elantra Touring and will use the same 2.0L 4-cyl that is currently in the Elantra sedan.

Well sort of. Mazda has released a teaser image of the all-new Mazda6 sedan that will be unveiled this September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Ford Mondeo based sedan gets all-new styling that is similar to the new Mazda2.

2008 Audi A8 Gets a Few Updates and a New Engine


For the 2008 model year Audi has updated many components of its flagship sedan, although you probably won't notice most of them. First the A8 is going to be offered with the 2.8L FSI six-cylinder engine (Europe) that will put out 210 hp and achieve 28mpg.

Audi's Q7 V12 TDI SUV Will Debut Next Year


According to AutoTelegraaff Audi is going to release the Q7 V12 TDI in the second half of 2008. The V12 version of the Q7 packs 500 horsepower and propels the large SUV from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.

The current Toyota Corolla has been on the market since 2002, which makes it one of the oldest vehicles in its class. Although the current Corolla is old, it is still selling well. Last month it was the number 4 best selling vehicle in the U.S. Better than the Honda Accord and Honda Civic. This fall Toyota is going to take the wraps off the all new version.

VW has officially announced today that the automaker is going to end its current Bluetec relationship with Mercedes. Instead of badging their vehicles with the Bluetec labels, Volkswagen is going to return to the familiar TDI badging that the automaker has used in the past.

Audi's A5 Coupe Gets Two New Engines

Audi's newest coupe has yet to be released in the US and some other markets in the world, but that isn't stopping Audi from expanding the model range with two new six-cylinder engines. The new engines will start at the lower end of the model range with a 2.7L TDI (diesel) and a 3.2L FSI engine.

Honda has just announced that the Mugen version of the Honda Civic Si will be sold on our shores this fall. Although the car has a modified body, suspension and new wheels the car has been criticized for not having any real performance gains over the regular Civic Si. Well if you live in Japan you can actually buy a more powerful Civic from your local Honda dealer.

The New York Times has just announced that former Home Depot CEO, Robert L. Nardelli is going to be appointed as the new CEO of Chrysler. Earlier this year Nardelli was ousted from his chief executive position at Home Depot due to arguments with stock holders over his enormous pay package.

2008 Dodge Viper Has 600HP and it Starts at $83,145


Dodge's supercar is getting a bump in horsepower for the 2008 model year. The Dodge Viper SRT10 will have 90 more horsepower than the 07' version thanks to a bigger displacement engine (8.4L V10), improved airflow and variable valve timing.

Nissan's 350Z has taken a backseat to other more important models in the Nissan lineup. The coupe was supposed to receive upgrades for the 2009 model year, but due to the release of the Nissan GT-R, small sports coupe and various hybrid models, the changes are being delayed.

Reuters has posted a list of the 20 top-selling vehicles in the U.S. through July of 2007. There aren't really any big surprises here.

New High-Performance Saab 9-7x Will Have a 390hp V8


Although the days are numbered for the Saab 9-7x, Saab and GM still decided to release a high-performance version of the SUV. Saab is going to introduce a new performance Aero version f the 9-7x that will have a 6.0L V8 that puts out 390hp and 395 lb-ft. of torque.

It has already been reported that the sales of GM's new GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickups are not selling as well as the automaker had hoped. Recently GM also announced that production of their full-size pickups is going to be scaled back due to slow sales. Toyota's full-size Tundra is also new this year and has had some issues as well, which are mainly due to engine quality issues and crash test results. Well now it looks like Toyota's once ignored full-size pickup is the fourth best-selling full-size half-ton pickup in the US, narrowly squeezing out the GMC Sierra.

Toyota has released a high-performance version of its Blade hatchback in Japan today. The car is powered by the same 3.5L V6 that is in the Lexus IS350 and other Toyota models. It features 276hp and 253 lb-ft. of torque.

VW has plans to debut eight new models at the Frankfurt Motor Show this September one of which will be a new rear-engined car for developing markets like the original VW Bug.

Last month will go down in the record books as the first month that Detroit's Big 3 (Ford, GM and Chrysler) sold less vehicles than their foreign competitors. Sales from Ford, GM and Chrysler only made up 48.1 percent of all vehicles sales in the U.S. last month, while foreign competitors made up 51.9 percent.


Hyundai and Hyundai's sister company Kia have been setting their goals incredibly high by going after BMW, Lexus and Mercedes. Hyundai is going to go head to head with them with the new Genesis sedan and upcoming RWD coupe. Now Kia is looking at Audi with its new coupe concept.

Many of us may remember the original AE86 Toyota that was a RWD Corolla coupe in the 1980's. Best Car Plus magazine has revealed that Toyota is working on a new AE86 type car that will be in showrooms by the winter of 2008.

Infiniti has announced the pricing for the 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe that will be in showrooms on August 21st.

Land Rover is Working on a 7 Passenger Freelander/LR2


It is being reported that Land Rover is working on a new version of the Freelander/LR2 SUV. The new version will seat 7 passengers and will be sold alongside the 5 passenger version within 18 months. The new version is being designed to keep up with increasing competition in Europe where multi-seat SUVs and wagons are on the rise.
