I’m sure we’ve all seen the VW commercials for the 2011 Jetta that boast about its $15,995 starting price. It’s supposedly a great thing that the not so highly rated, 2011 Jetta has a base price that is now cheaper than before. Well it looks like that base price is now not quite as cheap. VW has quietly raised the base price of the Jetta by $500.
VW’s website now lists the base Jetta at $16,495. For that you get the base Jetta S with a very weak 115-hp 2.0L engine. I recently purchased a new VW (not a Jetta) and I couldn’t even sit in the Jetta for five minutes. That interior felt so cheap!
