Following up the release of the 2012 up! city car, VW has unveiled the GT up! Concept, which adds a bit more style and sport to the small VW.
The GT up! starts with the three-door hatchback, but then adds a larger grille to let in more air for the engine, which according to VW could put out more than 100 horsepower. The bumper also employs larger ducts with LED daytime lights to help cool the front brakes. The GT up! concept rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and the rear of the concept gets a new roof spoiler and a black diffuser with dual tailpipes.
The sportier theme continues on the inside with anthracite-colored seats offset by central panels with a blue checkered pattern that recalls the seats in the VW GTI.
The GT up! concept hasn’t been confirmed for production, but it’s a possibility one day.
