Volvo is reportedly going to introduce a cheaper version of the 2019 Volvo XC60 crossover, which will see its entry price drop $2,300 compared to the 2018 model.

2018 Volvo XC60 T6 Review

According to CarsDirect, Volvo is introducing a new Volvo XC60 T5 Momentum front-wheel drive model, which is priced at $40,195 with the destination fees. The new T5 Momentum trim level is also the first front-wheel drive version of the new XC60, since the current XC60 has only been offered with all-wheel drive since it was introduced last year.

To bring the price down, the 2019 Volvo XC60 T5 Momentum comes standard with leatherette seats, but buyers can add leather seats for an additional $1,600.

Buyers looking at the rest of the 2019 Volvo XC60 lineup will need to be prepared to pay a bit more compared to the 2018 XC60. The pricing for the R-Design and Inscription trim levels are going up by as much as $3,550, due to more standard features. For 2019, the R-Design and Inscription trim levels come standard with blind spot warning, park assist, a 12.3-inch navigation system, a 600 watt Harmon Kardon audio system, power folding mirrors and a hands-free trunk.
