VW has released a few teaser photos of the ID.4’s interior, which goes for a minimalistic approach with a limited number of buttons. According to VW, the “interior design underlines the ample sense of space: similarly to the exterior design, it appears flowing and lightweight, focusing only on the essential.”

The dash panel appears to be floating and there’s also an optional fixed panoramic glass roof to let more light in. Once the sun goes down there’s an available 30-color ambient lighting system.

The interior also gets lighting that will alert the driver different situations, like when the ID.4’s drive system is active or the vehicle is unlocked or locked.

With the rear seats up there’s 30.3 cubic feet of cargo space.

The VW ID.4 will officially debut on September 23.
