Volkswagen has announced a new R-Line appearance package for the 2018 VW Tiguan, which adds more style to the Tiguan SEL and SEL Premium trim levels.
On the outside the R-Line package 19-inch “Trenton” aluminum-alloy wheels for SEL trims and 20-inch “Braselton” aluminum-alloy wheels on SEL Premium trims, R-Line badging, sportier front and rear bumpers and body color wheel arch extensions and side skirts.
Inside, the Tiguan R-Line models add an R-Line steering wheel badge, black headliner, stainless-steel sport pedal covers, and stainless-steel door sills with the R-Line logo. The start screen on the infotainment system also features the R-Line logo.
Like the standard Tiguan model, the R-Line is powered by a 184-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and eight-speed automatic transmission. The R-Line package on SEL trims is priced at $1,795, and includes front and rear Park Distance Control, while it only adds $1,495 to SEL Premium models.
