Alfa Romeo has confirmed that the updated 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C will debut by the end of 2018 and arrive in showrooms by early 2019. The 4C has been criticized for its unpredictable steering and less than ideal ride and handling, so Alfa Romeo has called in a fix for the 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C.
Roberto Fedeli, chief engineer for Alfa Romeo and Maserati, revealed at the launch of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio that the automaker is working on some updates for the 4C, instead of killing it off. “We are coming back to Formula 1,” Fedeli stated. “and we need the 4C to be our halo car.”
The 2019 4C will arrive with an updated suspension and steering system to hopefully fix some of the issues that have plagued the current 4C. There’s also a chance that the 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C could get a new engine as well, but one option definitely will not be added – a manual transmission. Fedeli says there’s not enough demand for a manual transmission.
