To celebrate 86th running of the Le Mans 24 Hours, Toyota has prepared a trio of one-off versions of the GT86. Each Toyota GT86 is wrapped in a different livery, which is meant to celebrate some of Toyota’s iconic Le Mans cars of the past.

Toyota’s European team designed the special Toyota GT86 models to appeal to enthusiasts with inspiration from past Toyota’s past Le Mans race cars.

“The GT86 gives us a great canvas on which to pay tribute to some of the amazing Toyota race cars that have thrilled the crowds at Le Mans,”J ames Clark, Toyota GB Press Relations Manager. “Response to our earlier retro-liveried coupes was fantastic and we hope these new cars – all strictly one-off creations – will generate the same kind of enthusiasm as we approach this year’s 24-hour race.”

The first special GT86 pays tribute to the Toyota TS010 of 1992, which was powered by a Formula 1-style 3.5-liter V10 engine, while the second is inspired by the 1998 TS020, or GT-One. Completing the threesome is a GT86 inspired by the 2016 TS050 Hybrid.

Each of the special GT86 cars are with special rear spoilers and aero packages. Vehicle vinyl specialist Funkee Fish reproduced the original liveries. Each car also rides 40 mm lower thanks to new springs and aftermarket alloy wheels have been bolted on. They are finished off with a new stainless steel Milltek Sport exhaust system

After their debut next week at Le Mans, the special GT86 trio will make special appearances at events across the UK this summer.
