Yesterday a leaked slideshow from a Toyota presentation provided an unofficial timeline of what Toyota plans to introduce over the next year and half. The big news was the next-generation 86, which is coming next summer. But first Toyota is planning an all-new 2021 Sienna.

While we don’t have any other details other than the fact that the slide says that the next-generation Sienna will only be offered with a hybrid powertrain. What powertrain can we expect? All signs point to the 2021 Sienna being powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, just like the 2020 Highlander Hybrid.

There’s also a chance that a plug-in hybrid, called the Sienna Prime could be in the works, which would be the perfect rival to the updated 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. If that is in the works, the Sienna Prime will likely get the same powertrain as the 2021 RAV4 Prime, which is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors.

The slide also shows that Toyota is planning on introducing a new hybrid crossover this fall as well. It’s not known if its the resurrected Venza or a Corolla Cross.
