Toyota has announced that production of the 2019 Toyota Avalon has begun at its plant in Kentucky. The all-new fifth generation 2019 Avalon is now based on Toyota’s TNGA platform with a greater emphasis on sportiness and dynamic styling than every Avalon before it.

The 2019 Toyota Avalon will be offered in four trim levels, with two new sportier trim levels, XSE and Touring. The 2019 Avalon Hybrid will be offered in three trim levels, XLE, Limited and XSE. Pricing for the 2019 Avalon has jumped a bit to $36,395 for the base Avalon XLE and $37,395 for the Avalon Hybrid XLE.

Under the hood there are two powertrain options, the 310-hp 3.5L V6 or a 215-hp 2.5L four-cylinder hybrid system. There are also several new firsts for the Avalon, including an available Adaptive Variable Suspension, Apple CarPlay and an Engine Sound Enhancement system that makes the Avalon sound sportier at the touch of a button.
