Many luxury automakers have jumped on the subscription service bandwagon as a way to reach new buyers that are turned off by traditional leases. Up until now the available subscription services have been limited to luxury automakers, like Volvo, Porsche and BMW, but now Toyota is jumping in.

Toyota has announced the release of its new subscription service called Kinto that will power up in 2019. For now the service is limited to Japan, but users will be able to access any Toyota model they want. Toyota also wants to reward drivers that take care of their vehicles with a reward program.

Toyota will “reward customers who carefully use the car as if it were their own beloved vehicle. Under this program, points will be awarded for safe or ecological driving utilizing connected technology and regular visits to dealers.”

As of right now we don’t know when Toyota will expand the Kinto subscription program outside of the US.
